Bertling Group

About

We are a global logistics and shipping company that has been in business for over 160 years, founded back in 1865 by Friedrich Heinrich Bertling in Lübeck, Germany. What started as a ship owning and operating company has grown into a worldwide organization with 50 offices and 700 employees across 30 countries. We specialize in the really challenging stuff - complex project freight forwarding, transporting cargo to remote locations, and handling difficult terrains that other logistics providers might shy away from.

Our operation is built around three core divisions: project logistics solutions, shipping and chartering, and IT services. We developed our own transport management and tracking systems called BLU and BLU4U to give clients full visibility into their supply chains. Being privately held and independent means we can make decisions quickly and maintain close, long-term relationships with our clients. We work primarily with energy, mining, renewables, construction, and chemical companies, delivering their critical cargo to some of the most demanding environments on the planet. Our flat organizational structure and focus on developing in-house expertise allows us to respond rapidly to whatever logistical challenges come our way.
