The product range includes standard fresh meals, a low-carbon recipe line, and what the company claims is Europe's first nutritionally complete vegetarian fresh meal for dogs. For every new customer sign-up, Butternut Box donates a meal to a dog in need through its Give-a-Meal programme. The company achieved B Corporation certification in 2022.
Customer retention is notably high: 80% of customers do not return to conventional dog food, and 96% report satisfaction with the switch. Ninety-two per cent say mealtimes are easier after adopting Butternut Box meals. The company was founded by two friends, Kev and Dave.
