CGIAR is the world's largest global agricultural innovation network. Founded in 1971, it operates through 15 research centers across 89 countries, employing more than 9,000 staff. Its annual research portfolio exceeds US$900 million.
The organisation is dedicated to transforming food, land, and water systems in a climate crisis. Its work spans agricultural research, food security, climate adaptation and mitigation, and environmental health and biodiversity.
CGIAR's research is carried out in close collaboration with national and regional research institutes, civil society organizations, academia, development organizations, and the private sector. The organisation believes in the power of partnership and integrated science, with its ongoing One CGIAR reform aiming for greater integration across its network of centers.
