College Board is a mission-driven not-for-profit organization operating in the education sector. Founded more than 120 years ago, it connects students to college success by helping them navigate the path from high school to college and career. The organization reaches more than 7 million students per year through its programs.
The organization's portfolio includes the SAT, a standardized test for college admissions, and the Advanced Placement (AP) program, which allows high school students to take college-level courses. Additional programs include BigFuture, which helps students plan for college and explore careers; CLEP and ACCUPLACER, which support students at various educational stages; and SpringBoard and Pre-AP, preparatory curricula programs.
College Board's mission centers on expanding access to higher education. Its programs are designed to expand opportunities for students and help them develop skills throughout their educational journey, from early preparation through college readiness and beyond.
