Computacenter AG & Co. oHG is an independent technology and services provider, founded in 1981 by British entrepreneurs Peter Ogden and Philip Hulme. The company helps corporate and public sector organisations source, transform and manage their technology infrastructure. It is listed on the FTSE 250 and employs more than 21,000 people across a footprint spanning more than 70 countries, with service centres worldwide and its principal operations in the United Kingdom and Europe.
Its business is organised around three service lines: technology sourcing and supply chain services, which help customers procure infrastructure; technology transformation services, which reshape infrastructure to deliver digital transformation; and infrastructure managed services, which run technology environments on customers' behalf. The company also operates what it describes as the largest technology Integration Center in Europe, alongside further integration facilities elsewhere.
Four decades after its founding, Computacenter has grown from a UK-focused business into a global operation. Mike Norris has served as chief executive since 1994. The firm states that its approach centres on the customer and on building long-term partnerships rather than short-term wins, and describes a "winning together" ethos spanning employees, customers and sustainability commitments.
