General Summary
Essential Job Accountabilities
Provide interpretation and guidance to internal clients to ensure compliance with union contract provisions, prevailing wage laws and apprenticeship standards regulations
Develop and maintain relations with unions, contractors’ associations, trust administrators, enforcement entities, and peers to resolve labor compliance issues
Resolve financial and compliance issues with union trusts, and facilitate the trust audit process, to ensure compliance and advocate for credit as needed
Direct and communicate with associations and other industry groups to address issues of concern regarding interpretation of and compliance with state and federal regulations, and collective bargaining agreements
Direct dispute resolution process and union pre-job conferences in compliance with collective bargaining agreements to protect Company interests
Analyze Project Labor Agreements to provide direction and guidance to business units to ensure contract compliance from bid through project completion
Research, analyze, and liaise with internal clients to understand their needs and thereby support and inform the development of proposals and strategies in preparation for bargaining
Analyze wage and fringe benefits increase information provided by unions and associations to ensure compliance with terms of collective bargaining agreements and prevailing wage laws
Create and distribute internal wage memos, and direct payroll department to triage and resolve payroll related issues to ensure compliance with the collective bargaining agreements
Develop and maintain Labor Relations intranet site to ensure accuracy of information presented to internal clients
Perform duties including but not limited to: maintenance of electronic and paper filing systems, calendars, travel arrangements, presentations, invoice processing and budgeting to ensure the efficient ongoing administration of the department
Education
Bachelor’s Degree required
Experience
3+ years’ experience in labor relations, legal, contract administration or a related field
3+ years’ experience with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within civil construction or a related field
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
Demonstrated project management skills
High level proficiency with MS Office Suite and the ability to learn new software quickly, proficiency in Adobe Acrobat Pro and SharePoint preferred
Strong problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to provide creative solutions to real-time challenges with consistent follow through
Attention to detail/accuracy, quick learner and internally motivated to seek out answers, generate ideas, and develop new skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively disseminate information and convey concepts, ideas and information to all levels of employees
Ability to set priorities, organize work and work in high production environment while responding quickly and effectively under pressure, changing priorities and tight timelines/deadlines
Excellent consultative and communication skills and ability to interface effectively with all levels of employees, management and external customers
Team player who can operate effectively within a matrix management environment
Ability to work well with all levels of staff as well as unions, industry associations, government and enforcement agencies

Base Salary Range:
$96,541.00 - $144,813.00Pay may vary based upon relevant experience, skills, location, and education among other factors.
