Humanoid is the UK's first AI and robotics company, building advanced, commercially scalable humanoid robots for industrial-grade labour and real-world deployment. It employs more than 250 engineers, researchers and innovators drawn from leading robotics hardware, AI and machine learning firms, and is led by founder and CEO Artem Sokolov. Its stated mission is to amplify human potential through robots, with an emphasis on safety and commercial scalability.
The company's flagship product, HMND 01 Alpha, is a next-generation humanoid robot for industrial applications, offered in wheeled and bipedal configurations and built around high-torque actuators and advanced mechanics. It is powered by KinetIQ, a proprietary four-layer AI system running on NVIDIA compute infrastructure. Technical work spans humanoid robotics, physical AI, machine learning, actuator and mechanical engineering, and factory automation.
Humanoid raised a $12m-cumulative-funded Series A of $152 million and reached unicorn status in 2024. It has four major industrial partnerships - Schaeffler, Siemens, Bosch and SAP - across automotive, industrial manufacturing and enterprise software. The company operates from London, Boston and Vancouver, covering the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada.
