In 1958, two brothers borrowed $600 from their mother to open a small pizza restaurant in Wichita, Kansas. They named it Pizza Hut because the sign they ordered only had room for eight letters on it - simple beginnings for what would become a pizza empire. What started as a humble eatery quickly grew because the brothers understood something fundamental: great food and genuine hospitality create lifelong customers. Their pizza was awesome, the service felt like home, and they treated every customer like family.
From that single location, Pizza Hut has expanded into a global phenomenon with more than 16,000 restaurants and 350,000 team members across 100+ countries. Along the way, the company pioneered innovations that changed the industry forever - introducing Stuffed Crust pizza, becoming the first pizza chain to deliver to space, and continuously pushing boundaries to deliver hot, delicious pizza wherever and whenever customers want it. The company lives by the belief that pizza night should be special, and for over 65 years, they’ve been making people happy one slice at a time.
