Rail Delivery Group (RDG) is the central leadership body for Britain's rail industry, established in 2011. It brings together passenger train companies and freight operators to coordinate essential services and develop collaborative industry solutions. Based in Britain, the organisation works across the rail and transportation sectors with the stated aim of delivering a simpler, better railway.
RDG operates and oversees several critical infrastructure services for rail passengers. These include National Rail Enquiries, Journey Planning Systems, Real-time Train Journey Information, Customer Ticket Sales, and Comprehensive Reservations Systems, the latter of which supports millions of passengers daily. The organisation also manages Railcards and the Rail Data Marketplace.
Through its Rail Staff Travel (RST) programme, RDG enables rail industry employees to access travel benefits across Britain's railways and internationally via FIP arrangements. The organisation has articulated values of accountability, support, partnership, inclusion, respect, and excellence, and runs initiatives addressing sustainability and safety on the rail network, including efforts to combat violence and intimidation against women and girls.
