Educators for Excellence is a teacher-led organization founded in 2010 by public school teachers in New York. It operates as a movement of nearly 40,000 educator members across chapters in major cities including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Massachusetts, Minnesota, and Connecticut.
The organisation ensures educators have a leading voice in education policy through research, organising, and advocacy at district, state, and national levels. It is perhaps best known for its annual Voices from the Classroom survey series, a nationally representative study that captures educators' views on critical education issues across the country.
Through its local chapters, Educators for Excellence works to develop educator-informed solutions to education challenges, build teacher leadership and power, and advocate for policy change. The organisation aims to strengthen the teaching profession by ensuring educators have the conditions and resources needed to help every student succeed.
