Georgia Farm Bureau is the state's largest voluntary agricultural organisation, representing nearly 300,000 member families. Founded in 1937 by 50 farmers in seven counties, the non-governmental body has grown into a grassroots voice for agriculture and rural communities across Georgia, operating through 158 county Farm Bureau organisations.
The organisation provides advocacy and leadership on behalf of its members while also offering a range of practical benefits. Its subsidiary, Georgia Farm Bureau Insurance, established in 1958, supplies home, auto, life and farm insurance products. Additional member benefits include the Georgia Neighbors magazine, travel discounts and health and wellness programmes.
Georgia Farm Bureau also invests in future agricultural leadership through its Young Farmers and Ranchers programme and Women's Leadership initiatives, aimed at developing the next generation of leaders in the sector.
