GoTo Group is Indonesia's largest digital ecosystem, formed in 2021 through the merger of Gojek and Tokopedia. The group operates across three interconnected pillars: on-demand services, e-commerce, and financial technology - serving consumers, merchants, and driver partners across Indonesia's population of over 270 million people.
Its principal products are Gojek, which handles mobility, food delivery, and logistics; Tokopedia, an e-commerce marketplace that powers millions of businesses; and GoTo Financial, which encompasses payment and fintech solutions including GoPay. GoPay has extended banking access to 55% of Indonesians who previously had limited access to financial services. In 2024, GoTo launched DIRA, described as Indonesia's first AI-powered fintech voice assistant in Bahasa Indonesia. The group's technical domains span payments infrastructure, artificial intelligence, voice technology, logistics, and marketplace systems.
The scale of GoTo's operations is significant by any measure. The platform hosts more than 5.3 million merchants and works with 3 million driver partners daily. It accounts for 2.2% of Indonesia's GDP and serves nearly two-thirds of the country's household consumption.
GoTo describes its role as building technology infrastructure to help individuals and businesses participate in the digital economy - positioning itself as an integrated ecosystem rather than a conventional super app. The group states an ongoing investment in emerging technology, including AI applications, as part of its broader development agenda.
