Hyatt Hotels Corporation is an American multinational hospitality company that owns, operates, manages and franchises hotels and resorts worldwide. Founded in 1957 by Jay Pritzker with the purchase of the Hyatt House motel adjacent to Los Angeles International Airport, the group has grown from a single airport property into one of the world's larger hotel companies. It is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, and is listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol H.
The group operates more than 1,300 hotels and resorts in over 70 countries and reported revenue of approximately $6.67 billion in 2023. Hyatt acts as owner, operator, franchisor and manager, and also provides development expertise to third parties. Its brand portfolio spans several market segments, including Park Hyatt and Andaz in luxury and luxury lifestyle, Grand Hyatt in upper-upscale, Hyatt Regency in full-service, Hyatt Centric in lifestyle, Hyatt Place in select-service, and Hyatt House in extended stay.
