Meridiam

About

In 2005, Thierry Déau founded Meridiam with a visionary belief that infrastructure investment could be reimagined to serve both people and the planet. Recognizing a gap in the market for long-term, responsible infrastructure development, he set out to build a company that would align the interests of public and private sectors to deliver essential assets while creating lasting social and environmental value. What began as a bold idea has evolved into a global platform managing €23 billion across more than 130 projects spanning Europe, Africa, and the Americas.

Today, Meridiam stands as an independent investment Benefit Corporation and certified B Corp, specializing in the development, financing, and long-term management of sustainable public infrastructure. The firm focuses on three core sectors - sustainable mobility, critical public services, and innovative low-carbon solutions - with operations in ten countries and a team of 400 professionals worldwide. Having achieved Mission Company status in France in 2019 and B Corporation certification in 2022, Meridiam has embedded its commitment to positive impact into its legal structure, proving that financial performance and purpose can be reconciled to build a more inclusive, equitable, and sustainable economy for future generations.
