The Partnership for Public Service is a nonpartisan nonprofit founded in 1999, based in the United States. For 25 years, it has worked to improve how federal institutions serve the public by engaging citizens, advocating for reform, and training civil servants. The organisation operates across political administrations, positioning itself as a bridge on government effectiveness.
Its programmes span leadership development, workplace assessment, presidential transitions and artificial intelligence in government. The Public Service Leadership Institute® provides training for public servants at federal, state and local levels. The Best Places to Work in the Federal Government® rankings measure workplace quality across federal agencies. The Center for Presidential Transition® supports the transfer of power between administrations. More recently, the AI Center for Government® was established to build AI talent and literacy within government.
Technical focus areas include AI talent and literacy, public sector reform and government leadership development. The organisation's work sits at the intersection of federal government, public administration and the nonprofit sector, with a mission centred on making government work better rather than on partisan goals.
