Workday, Inc.

About

We're building software that helps organizations manage their most important resources - their people and their finances - in a way that actually makes sense. Our founders started Workday back in 2005 with a pretty simple idea: put people at the center of enterprise software. We've grown into a team of over 20,000 people who wake up every day thinking about how to make work better for millions of employees worldwide. Most of us have been in your shoes, working in HR, finance, or IT, so we understand the headaches that come with legacy systems and disconnected data.

What we actually do is build cloud-based applications that help companies handle everything from hiring and payroll to financial planning and analytics. We've gone all-in on cloud from day one because we believe it's the only way to give organizations the flexibility they need to adapt quickly. Our system brings together HR, finance, and planning into one place, which means everyone's working from the same set of facts. No more reconciling spreadsheets or wondering which data source is right. We're constantly adding new capabilities powered by AI, but always with a focus on augmenting human judgment rather than replacing it.

J.E. Dunn Construction Group Inc P

We've been building for over 100 years, but what really drives us isn't just the structures we create - it's the relationships we build along the way. Founded in 1924 in Kansas City, we've grown from humble beginnings into one of the nation's largest general contractors, now with 26 offices across 17 states and more than 5,000 team members. We're family- and employee-owned, which means we make decisions differently - we think long-term, we take care of our people, and we treat every project like it's the most important one we've ever taken on. What we actually do day-to-day is pretty straightforward: we provide general contracting, construction management, and design-build services across a huge range of markets. But the real work happens in how we do it. We show up early, stay late, and work side by side with our partners to figure out what success looks like for them. Whether we're building healthcare facilities, data centers, sports complexes, or advanced manufacturing plants, we bring the same approach - combine national resources with local knowledge, prioritize safety and quality above everything else, and never forget that the journey matters as much as the destination. We exist to enrich lives through inspired people and places, and that's not just something we put on a website - it's how we make decisions every single day.
