Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network (DWIHN) is the designated public entity responsible for managing behavioral health services for Wayne County, Michigan. The organisation oversees a network covering the Detroit metropolitan area and surrounding communities, serving over 53,000 members annually and touching approximately 235,000 lives through direct services and community outreach each year.
DWIHN operates across several key areas: behavioral health managed care, mental health services, substance use disorder treatment, and developmental disability services. It provides 24/7 crisis services, including a dedicated crisis line, mobile crisis response teams, and walk-in stabilization centres. The network also runs Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training for law enforcement, with over 500 officers certified across more than 30 agencies.
As a public entity, DWIHN functions as the regional authority coordinating behavioural health care delivery, working with community providers to ensure access to treatment and support services throughout Wayne County.
