HSH Management Services Limited traces its origins to 2 March 1866, when it was incorporated as The Hongkong Hotel Company, Limited. It is the oldest registered company on the Hong Kong Companies Registry, was among the first companies listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, and is regarded as the world's oldest hotel company in continuous operation. The firm owns and operates luxury hotels alongside strategic real estate and tourism assets, with its businesses organised into three divisions: hotels, commercial properties, and Peak Tram, Retail and Others.
Its hotels division comprises The Peninsula Hotels, twelve operational luxury properties in city-centre locations across Asia, Europe and the United States, all owned and operated by the group. Quail Lodge and Golf Club is a further hotel and golf club property in the portfolio. HSH also runs Peninsula Clubs and Consultancy Services, a business providing club and hospitality consultancy.
Outside hotels, the group's holdings are concentrated in Hong Kong and include The Peak Tram, one of the city's most popular tourist attractions, as well as The Peak Tower and The Repulse Bay. The wider footprint spans Hong Kong, Asia, Europe and the United States, across luxury hospitality, commercial real estate, tourism attractions, retail, golf and leisure.
